Hello digital humanists! Another Monday here to keep in touch with you and continue to encourage you to participate!
In today’s post we would like to take a look at the past and remember other DayofDHs.
The first DayofDH took place on March 18, 2009 and was organized by the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. This project was born with the same objective that it has today: share the life of a digital humanist, through blog entries, photographs, projects, etc. in order to create a final document that offers us a situation of this discipline in our days.
Since then, this day has been celebrated and has been organized by different universities and / or research centers from different parts of the world. The website is not preserved, but we have the wiki where the data are stored: http://www.artsrn.ualberta.ca/taporwiki/index.php/Day_in_the_Life_of_the_Digital_Humanities_2009
On March 18, 2010, there was a second DayofDH which was promoted by Professor Thomas Crombez of the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
On March 15, 2011, the third DayofDH was celebrated, which was organized by the UCL for Digital Humanities keeping the goals of previous years.
In 2012, DayofDH was celebrated on March 27 and was organized by CenterNet, an International Network of Centers of Digital Humanities.
